ABOUT ME
Penned Reflections is written by Amy Walter, a former journalist turned reading specialist, who spends her days surrounded by books and her nights surrounded by yorkshire terriers.
Born and raised in the Steel City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Amy ventured north to settle in the rural outskirts of the city in a small, albeit bubbly town, located in Northwestern PA.
A published essayist, fiction enthusiastic, freelance editor, and accomplished teacher, Amy decided to try her luck writing her own stories. Her poem "The Hour Has Come" was recently published in the Mindful Writer's Retreat Series Anthology, Into the Woods: Stories, Poems, Essays & More. She is concurrently working on publishing her chapbook of poetry Two Rooms and her young adult novel Someday, I Hope.
